Iran and Israel exchanged further air attacks on Thursday, deepening the region’s most dangerous conflict in decades, while US President Donald Trump remained ambiguous about possible American military involvement.

After a week of Israeli airstrikes that reportedly killed hundreds and disrupted key parts of Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure, Tehran continued to respond with attacks that left at least two dozen civilians dead in Israel.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, “I may do it. I may not do it,” when asked about joining the Israeli campaign. He also hinted at diplomatic outreach from Iranian officials but questioned the timing, saying, “It’s a little late.”

Meanwhile, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a strong warning against any US military intervention, declaring it would bring “irreparable damage.”

As fears of a wider war mount, the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and Britain are expected to meet their Iranian counterpart in Geneva to push for renewed nuclear talks. Inside Iran, panic spread across the capital as residents fled the city amid reports of fresh Israeli strikes.

With the International Atomic Energy Agency accusing Tehran of breaching non-proliferation rules for the first time in two decades, the path to de-escalation remains uncertain.
