Iran has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following US airstrikes on its nuclear facilities, describing the attacks as “blatant and illegal aggression.”
According to Iran’s mission to the United Nations, the strikes violated international law and must be condemned in the strongest terms. The mission urged the Security Council to take “all necessary measures” under the UN Charter to hold the United States accountable.
“The perpetrator of these heinous crimes must not escape punishment,” the Iranian statement said, demanding international action to prevent further escalation.
