Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the United States’ recent airstrikes on its nuclear facilities, calling the attacks a “brutal military aggression” against its “peaceful nuclear sites.” The ministry described the strike as a “grave and unprecedented violation” of the UN Charter and international law, holding the US fully accountable for the far-reaching consequences of the attack.
In a statement, the ministry emphasized that Iran would defend its “territory, sovereignty, security, and people by all means,” warning that global silence in the face of such aggression could lead to a dangerous and chaotic world. The ministry urged the UN Security Council to convene an emergency session to condemn the US’s actions unequivocally.
Additionally, Iran criticized the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, accusing him of “bias in favor of warmongering parties” and of facilitating the recent escalation. Iran has called on the IAEA to urgently meet and fulfill its legal responsibilities regarding the matter.
