Israeli forces have killed 70 people, including 10 children, in the occupied West Bank since the start of this year. This information was reported by Liberty News on Monday, February 3.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli forces have killed 70 individuals, including 10 children, in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of this year.

Statistics released by the ministry on Monday show that 38 people were killed in Jenin, 15 people in Tubas, 6 people in Nablus, 5 people in Tulkarem, 3 people in Hebron, 2 people in Bethlehem, and 1 person in occupied East Jerusalem as part of Israel’s deadly operations.

After the ceasefire in Gaza, the Israeli military launched a large-scale deadly attack last month in the region, named “Iron Wall.” Israel began this operation specifically targeting Palestinian armed groups active in the Jenin area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that, in addition to the 10 children killed, the Israeli military also killed one woman and two elderly Palestinians.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Palestinian Authority (PA) Presidency condemned the Israeli attacks and emphasized that Palestinians will not accept any resettlement plans or “alternative homeland” proposals.

Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh stated in a statement, “The occupying Israeli authorities are expanding their total war against the Palestinian people in the West Bank to implement their plans of displacement and ethnic extermination.”

He further stated that Israel’s controversial policies have led to hundreds of people being injured or detained. In addition to the complete destruction of residential blocks in the Jenin and Tulkarem refugee camps, thousands of citizens have been displaced, and there has been significant damage to infrastructure.

Liberty News’ international correspondent reports that on Sunday, Israeli forces destroyed 23 buildings in the Jenin refugee camp, resulting in nearly 15,000 Palestinians being forcibly displaced from their homes as part of the ongoing operation.
