Israeli Air Force fighter jets launched airstrikes on multiple Hezbollah military sites in southern Lebanon on Friday, according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The targeted sites reportedly included rocket launchers and weapons storage facilities. The IDF said Hezbollah was attempting to reestablish operations at these locations.
“The presence of weaponry and the organization’s activity constitutes a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the statement said.
Tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border have remained high amid ongoing regional hostilities, with frequent cross-border fire reported between Israeli forces and Hezbollah militants.
