Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman described the ability to welcome the Bengali New Year freely as a special blessing from Allah, expressing gratitude and optimism for the nation’s future.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman extended heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1432 to all Bangladeshis, both at home and abroad. He emphasized the significance of being able to celebrate the new year independently, attributing it to divine mercy.

“Happy New Year 1432! I extend warm wishes to everyone, wherever they are. I pray to the Almighty for peace, prosperity, good health, and happiness for all in this new year,” Dr. Rahman wrote.

Highlighting the spirit of inclusivity, he added, “Regardless of party, ideology, religion, or race, everyone can now welcome the new year freely—this is undoubtedly a special blessing from Allah, and for that, we are deeply grateful.”

Liberty News’ political correspondent states that looking ahead, the Jamaat leader expressed hope for the younger generation to play a pivotal role in nation-building. “I firmly believe that our youth will carry the responsibility of shaping a new Bangladesh, fulfilling the aspirations of the people and taking the country to new heights,” he concluded.
