Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that the recent verdict on ATM Azhar proves truth cannot be hidden forever.
Following the verdict in favor of former Jamaat-e-Islami leader ATM Azharul Islam, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman addressed a press conference at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, expressing gratitude and describing the judgment as a manifestation of divine justice.
“This verdict is a flash of truth from Almighty Allah and a special blessing,” said Dr. Rahman, emphasizing that no force can permanently suppress the truth.
Dr. Rahman further claimed that the ruling validates the long-standing stance of the party and reflects the resilience of justice, despite years of what he described as political oppression.
The Jamaat leader’s comments come in the wake of a significant legal development involving Azhar, who was previously sentenced in connection with war crimes charges. The new ruling, which favored Azhar, has drawn reactions from various political and human rights circles.
