President Mohammed Shahabuddin removed Justice Khizir Hayat of the High Court Division from his post on March 18.
Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry sources said the Law and Justice Division issued a gazette notification on March 19 regarding this.
Liberty News’ national correspondent reports that the gazette, signed by Law and Justice Division Secretary Sheikh Abu Taher. He said the President removed Justice Khizir Hayat from his post as per section (6) of Article 96 of the constitution.
