BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has urged the nation to unite in securing the people’s right to vote, emphasizing that past sacrifices for democracy will not be in vain.

Speaking virtually from London on Monday during an Eid-ul-Fitr greeting session with party leaders and activists, Khaleda Zia stressed the need for solidarity in upholding democratic values.

“The right to vote must be established collectively. Our struggles and sacrifices will not go to waste,” she asserted. She also urged party members to support one another in the ongoing fight for democracy.

At the beginning of the event, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir extended Eid greetings and expressed deep gratitude to the party leadership. Following this, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman invited Khaleda Zia to address the gathering.

Overcome with emotion at reconnecting with her party members after a long time, Khaleda Zia reiterated her commitment to the people’s voting rights. “Eid Mubarak to everyone. Please pray for me, as I pray for you all. May Allah guide and support us,” she said.
