Khulna Tigers defeated Rangpur Riders by 9 wickets in the BPL eliminator, securing their place in the qualifier while Rangpur’s tournament journey came to an end.
Khulna Tigers cruised to a dominant 9-wicket victory over Rangpur Riders in the BPL eliminator, knocking out the latter from the tournament. Rangpur was dismissed for just 85 runs, with Khulna easily chasing down the small target in just 13.4 overs, thanks to solid knocks from Mohammad Naim (48 off 33 balls) and Alex Rose (29* off 27 balls).
Liberty News’ sports correspondent state that Rangpur’s batting collapse was triggered by outstanding bowling performances from Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Nasum Ahmed, who both took three wickets each. Rangpur captain Nurul Hasan Sohan top-scored with 23 runs, but his efforts were not enough as his side fell short by a significant margin.
