Bangladesh captain Litton Das issued a heartfelt apology to fans following a dismal series against Pakistan, where the Tigers were whitewashed 3-0 after a crushing seven-wicket defeat in Lahore.

In the post-match presentation ceremony on Sunday night, Litton Das expressed deep regret for the team’s performance throughout the series. Bangladesh failed to win a single match on Pakistani soil, sparking disappointment among supporters back home.

“The crowd was fantastic. They supported both teams,” Litton remarked. “I apologize to our Bangladeshi fans. We couldn’t win any game. But I believe we’ll come back strongly.”

Reflecting on the series, the skipper admitted that Bangladesh struggled particularly in the first two games, citing issues with bowling and fielding. “We didn’t bowl or field well in the initial matches. However, we batted well on this pitch. Our bowlers need to learn how to handle different types of batters, and there’s a lot to think about,” he added.

Despite the losses, the series offered a few positives. Young opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim displayed promise at the top of the order, while Parvez Hossain Emon found form in the final T20I after a slow start. Litton praised their efforts, saying, “Emon and Tanzid batted well. Most of the players gave their best. They showed their potential today.”

As the team regroups ahead of upcoming assignments, Litton’s message of accountability and hope aims to keep the fans’ faith alive despite a tough tour in Pakistan.
