The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased for consumer use. For the month of February, the price of a 12 kg cylinder has been raised by 19 taka, bringing it to 1,478 taka.
On Sunday, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the price hike in a notice.
The new price will be effective from 6 p.m. on the same day.
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed informed Liberty News that the price for a 12 kg LPG cylinder has been set at 1,478 taka, up from 1,459 taka, with a 19 taka increase.
Previously, the LPG price had remained unchanged for January, but on January 14, the price for a 12 kg cylinder was adjusted upwards by 4 taka, bringing it to 1,459 taka.
