The Directorate of Madrasah Education has directed all madrasah across the country to celebrate the Bengali New Year for two days in a festive atmosphere under their own management.
In a recent office order issued on Wednesday, the Directorate of Madrasah Education instructed all madrasah to organize two-day celebrations marking the Bengali New Year and the traditional Chaitra Sankranti.
The order emphasizes that the events should be conducted in a colorful and joyous manner. Celebrations are to be held at the institutional level, reflecting the cultural spirit of the occasion.
This directive comes following similar instructions from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), encouraging the observance of the Bengali New Year across educational institutions.
Liberty News’ campus correspondent states that the office order further stated that all madrasahs under the Directorate’s jurisdiction must arrange programs to celebrate the Bengali New Year, Chaitra Sankranti, and the traditional new year festivals of various ethnic communities in the country.
