Mahmud Hasan Khan, managing director of Rising Group, has been elected unopposed as the president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) for the 2025–2027 term.
The BGMEA Election Board officially declared the results on Friday (14 June), confirming that only one valid nomination was submitted for each office-bearer post within the deadline, and no appeals were filed. As a result, all candidates have been elected without contest.
Selim Rahman of KDS Group has been elected as the first vice president, while Enamul Haque Khan of Ananta Garments will serve as senior vice president.
Other vice presidents include Md Rezwan Selim (Softex Sweater), Md Mizanur Rahman (Fabrica Knit Composite – Finance), Vidya Amrit Khan (Desh Garments), Md Shihab Uddoja Chowdhury (Emitee Design), and Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury (Fashion Wear).
The BGMEA Election Board was chaired by Mohammad Iqbal, with Mahmudul Hasan as secretary, and Ashraf Ahmed and Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin serving as members. The secretariat operated from the BGMEA Complex in Sector 17, Uttara, Dhaka.
