A delegation led by Major General Ibrahim Hilmy, Chief of defence force of the Maldives, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman on Sunday.
According to an official post from the Bangladesh Army’s verified Facebook page, the meeting included an exchange of greetings and discussions on strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.
During the talks, General Hilmy praised the professionalism of the Bangladesh Army both at home and abroad, particularly its contribution to maintaining law and order in the current national context.
The courtesy meeting was also attended by Maldives Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiuheen Rashid.
