Tens of thousands of Pakistanis flooded the streets of Karachi on Sunday in a powerful display of solidarity with Palestinians, voicing strong opposition to Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza.

In one of the largest pro-Palestine demonstrations in the region, Karachi’s main Shahrah-e-Faisal road turned into a sea of people waving Palestinian flags, chanting slogans, and carrying portraits of fallen resistance leaders including Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar.

Organized under the banner of the “Gaza Solidarity March,” the rally drew participants from all walks of life — Muslims, Christians, Hindus, students, activists, and political leaders. Braving intense heat, demonstrators carried a massive 100-foot-long Palestinian flag, symbolizing unity and resistance.

The rally follows a similar mass demonstration in Bangladesh last week, signaling growing global outrage against Israel’s continued strikes in Gaza. According to Turkish news agency Anadolu, organizers of the Karachi rally claimed that over a hundred thousand people joined the march.

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman addressed the crowd, denouncing Israeli war crimes and calling on the international community to act immediately. Simultaneously, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) held a separate Palestine Solidarity Conference in the city.

Liberty News’ international correspondent states that these mass mobilizations reflect a rising tide of support for Palestine across Muslim-majority countries, urging governments to take stronger diplomatic and humanitarian actions against Israeli aggression.
