BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir suddenly fell ill and has been admitted to United Hospital in Dhaka.
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed this information on Monday.
Shairul Kabir said: “Mirza Fakhrul felt unwell due to dust exposure while attending a book launch event at the book fair in Suhrawardy Udyan. Following medical advice, he was admitted to the hospital.”
He further mentioned that he visited the hospital to check on Mirza Fakhrul’s health and that he is now in a much better condition.
Doctors and Mirza Fakhrul’s representatives have requested prayers from everyone and urged people not to gather unnecessarily at the hospital.
