Latest Update : Subha has been found in Naogaon and is in law enforcement’s care
Police have reported that Arabhi Islam Subha, the schoolgirl missing from Mohammadpur in the capital, was seen in Naogaon. However, they left the area upon noticing the police presence.
The information was provided after verifying CCTV footage, according to ADC Jewel Rana of Mohammadpur police station.
The officer stated that after Subha’s father, Imran Rajib, filed a general diary, the analysis of the CCTV footage began. In the footage, Subha is seen talking to a boy, and later, she is seen heading to his home in Naogaon. The footage shows the 6th-grade student walking hand-in-hand with the boy.
According to police, Subha went to Naogaon with a boy named Momin Hossain. It is believed that she went there due to a love affair. The police have not yet been able to rescue her, but they have contacted Momin’s father and uncle. They are seeking their assistance to ensure that neither Momin nor Subha can flee.
Subha’s family had come to Dhaka last week for her mother’s lung cancer treatment. On Sunday (February 2) at around 6 PM, Subha went missing from the Krishi Market area. News of her disappearance quickly spread on social media, with many posting to find her. On Monday (February 3), her father, Imran Rajib, filed a general diary at Mohammadpur police station regarding the incident.
CCTV footage from the area shows Subha near Tokyo Square in Mohammadpur. However, besides her cousin, another person was also present. She was seen walking with that person.
