Model in crime control : Emdadul Haque named best OC in Khulna

Tarek Litu, Khulna: Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Emdadul Haque of Koyra Police Station has been named the Best OC of Khulna district. The announcement was made by the Superintendent of Police during the monthly welfare meeting held at the Khulna Police Lines.

According to the meeting, Emdadul Haque was selected as the district’s best OC for his outstanding achievements in crime control, drug prevention, case disposal, law and order maintenance, and people-friendly policing activities. His recognition came after an overall performance evaluation of all OCs across the district, where he secured the highest success rate.

An OC’s duty is not limited within the four walls of the police station; ensuring public safety, creating a corruption- and bribery-free environment, and making the police station a place of trust are equally vital. OC Emdadul Haque of Koyra has emerged as a symbol of these expectations.

In his reaction, Emdadul Haque said, “This achievement is not mine alone but the result of the collective efforts of every member of Koyra Police Station. Ensuring public safety and keeping the station open and accessible for all is my commitment. The Superintendent’s recognition will inspire me to be even more responsible.”

Locally, he is well-regarded as a polite, humane, and responsible officer. Under his leadership, Koyra Police Station has set an example as a corruption- and bribery-free institution. Earlier, during his tenure in Koyra, he was recognized three more times as Best OC.

The event was attended by senior police officials, Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP), and OCs from various police stations across the district.
