Monir Haider appointed Special Assistant to Chief Adviser

Veteran journalist Monir Haider has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on February 5th, elevating him to the rank of Senior Secretary.

Monir Haider, a prominent journalist with nearly three decades of experience, has been appointed as the Special Assistant to Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government. The official notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on February 5th, conferring upon him the status of Senior Secretary.

Currently residing in New York, Monir Haider is expected to join his new role upon his return to Bangladesh.

Liberty News’ national affairs correspondent states that Haider has had a distinguished career, working with leading newspapers including Bhorer Kagoj, Janakantha, Zai Zai Din, Ittefaq, Manabzamin, and Dainik Purbokone. Presently, he serves as an advisor to Banglavision, one of the country’s most popular television channels. Additionally, Haider is known for his active role as a civic rights advocate.
