YouTube sensation MrBeast has made an unexpected appearance in Mariah Carey’s latest music video for her new single Type Dangerous, which dropped just a week after the track’s release.
Directed by Joseph Kahn, the video is split into seven cinematic acts, each featuring Carey confronting a different romantic archetype — from Mr Player to Mr Traitor. The final act introduces MrBeast, playing himself, as the pop icon’s last “dangerous” love interest.
Carey brings her trademark glamour and boldness to the song, singing, “I like ’em dangerous,” while asserting her independence with lines like “I don’t have time for the rigamarole.”
The video follows Carey’s recent reissue of The Emancipation of Mimi to mark its 20th anniversary and hints at her long-awaited 16th studio album.
