Police have arrested Nasir Uddin Sathi, chairman and managing director of private television channel My TV, in connection with a murder case filed at Jatrabari Police Station during the anti-discrimination student movement.
Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the arrest on Sunday evening.
He said that Sathi was arrested over his alleged involvement in the case and would be produced before court on Monday (18 August), where police will seek a remand order for further questioning.
