Abu Zafar Choton, Koyra (Khulna): A joint checkpost operation was carried out in Koyra, Khulna, by the Bangladesh Navy and police on Wednesday morning. The operation, held from 9:15 am to 11:30 am at the Chand Ali Bridge toll plaza in Bagali Union, involved checking vehicles and questioning suspicious individuals.
The checkpost was led by Koyra Contingent Commander Lieutenant Adnan Rakib, with a 10-member Navy team and four members of the Amadi Police Outpost participating. Locals responded positively to the coordinated effort of the two forces.

During the drive, motorcycle riders were checked for helmet use, documents, and driving licenses. Trucks, covered vans, and easybikes were also inspected. According to statistics, 25 motorcycles, one truck, one covered van, and five easybikes were examined.

Officials of the joint forces stated that such operations play an effective role in maintaining law and order and preventing crime. No cases were filed, and no untoward incidents occurred during the operation.
Local residents expressed relief at the presence of the joint forces, saying that regular search operations like this could help curb drugs, smuggling, and other criminal activities. They warmly welcomed the initiative by the Navy and police.
