The National Citizens Party (NCP) has expressed a positive initial view of the meeting between Dr. Yunus and Modi in Thailand.
Senior joint convener of the NCP, Ariful Islam Adib, shared this viewpoint on Friday night. Adib stated that the meeting between Dr. Yunus and Modi is viewed positively by their party. The key issues raised, such as the return of Sheikh Hasina, stopping border killings, renewal of the Ganges water agreement, and discussions on the Teesta deal, are significant. However, he pointed out that the Indian side displayed a one-sided approach in certain matters.
Adib also criticized India for repeatedly mentioning Bangladesh’s internal politics and elections while harboring the fascist criminal, Hasina, who is under arrest warrants. He emphasized that while talking about Bangladesh’s political affairs, India must respect the aspirations and dignity of the Bangladeshi people.
