Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed the idea of a Palestinian state in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, instead proposing that Saudi Arabia could provide land for its establishment. In an interview with Israel’s right-wing Channel 14, Netanyahu claimed that “Saudi Arabia has enough land to create a Palestinian state”, rejecting Palestinian demands for sovereignty over their occupied territories.

His remarks come as Saudi Arabia conditions normalization with Israel on Palestinian statehood. When asked about this, Netanyahu stated, “I will not sign any agreement that endangers Israel’s security—especially not a Palestinian state, certainly not after October 7.”

Liberty News’ international correspondent states that during his ongoing U.S. visit, Netanyahu also met with President Donald Trump, discussing Gaza’s future and potential normalization with Saudi Arabia. However, shortly after their talks, the Saudi Foreign Ministry reiterated that it would not engage in negotiations with Israel without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
