A separate university, named “Dhaka Central University,” will soon oversee the operations of seven government colleges in Dhaka, as decided in a meeting with the University Grants Commission (UGC) on Sunday, March 16.
In a landmark decision, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has officially approved the formation of a new university for the seven government colleges in Dhaka. The newly designated institution will be named “Dhaka Central University” and will oversee the academic and administrative functions of these colleges.
The decision was made during a meeting between the UGC officials and student representatives of the seven colleges on Sunday, March 16. UGC Chairman SM A Faiz, along with other senior officials, attended the discussion, confirming the transition of these colleges into the newly established university.
