Home Affairs Advisor Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has dismissed concerns over the resurgence of militancy in the country, stating that no such rise has occurred under the interim government’s tenure.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday while visiting various police stations in Khilkhet, Badda, and Vatara for Eid greetings and inspections, the advisor asserted that there is no visible cause for alarm regarding militancy. “I don’t wish to comment on what newspapers report, but I see no concern over militancy in the country,” he said.
Liberty News’ national correspondent states that Jahangir Alam further noted that the overall situation in the country is gradually improving, with collective efforts contributing to stability. “Our security forces are working tirelessly, and this progress will continue in the future,” he added.
