A man died and five others injured as a private car skidded off the Chattogram Elevated Expressway in Nimtala Bishwa Road area on Thursday.
The deceased, Md Shafik, 43, was a resident of the city’s Fakirhat area.
The car was heading from the airport side when it lost control at Nimtala intersection and crashed through the expressway railing, said Mahmudur Rahman, assistant commissioner of the Bandar Zone of Chattogram Metropolitan Police.
“The injured were rescued and admitted to hospital. Their treatment is ongoing,” he added.
