In a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle in Bakshiganj, Jamalpur, Moniruzzaman Mintu (45) was killed. The incident occurred at 8 a.m. on Wednesday on the Bakshiganj-Sherpur road.
The deceased motorcyclist, Moniruzzaman Mintu, was the son of the late Motahar Hossain from Miarchar village in Roumari Upazila.
Bakshiganj Highway Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge, Istiaq Ahmed, informed Liberty News about the incident. He stated that the body has been recovered. Although the driver fled the scene, the truck has been seized, and legal actions are being taken in this regard.
According to police sources from the Highway Police Station, Moniruzzaman Mintu was heading to Sherpur by motorcycle at 8 AM on Wednesday. When he reached the Char Kauariya Masterbari area, he collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. As a result, Moniruzzaman Mintu sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
