Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and an independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, is being transferred from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to Evercare Hospital in the capital, following his family’s decision.
Brig Gen Md Asaduzzaman, Director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, confirmed the information on Friday evening.
“Hadi has sustained a bullet injury to the head. We performed an initial surgery at DMCH, and now he is being sent to Evercare Hospital,” Asaduzzaman told journalists.
Hadi was shot by unidentified assailants on Friday afternoon in the capital’s Paltan area. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
