Pakistan Operations : Four soldiers, 15 terrorists killed

The Pakistan Army’s media wing reported that in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15 terrorists were killed, and four soldiers were martyred.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), nine terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Hathala area of Dera Ismail Khan district, based on intelligence about the presence of militants.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan district, security forces killed six terrorists.

The statement mentioned that the killed militants were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

Since the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan in 2021, violent attacks in the border provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have increased, these operations are part of an ongoing anti-terrorism effort.

According to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), terrorist attacks in the country significantly increased in January 2025, rising by 42% compared to the previous month.

Liberty News international correspondent reports that at least 74 terrorist attacks have been recorded across the country, resulting in the deaths of 91 people, including 35 security personnel, 20 civilians, 36 militants. Additionally, 117 people have been injured, including 53 security personnel, 54 civilians, 10 militants.
