After the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, people have started returning to Dhaka. Since Wednesday morning, passengers have been arriving in the capital via buses, trains, and waterways.

Those who had purchased train tickets in advance are making their way back today. Similar scenes have been observed at major transport hubs like Jatrabari, Sayedabad, Mohakhali, and Gabtoli, where buses are bringing people back to the city.

Bus operators reported that from early morning, people who traveled to their hometowns for Eid have been returning to Dhaka. This trend is expected to continue for the next few days.

Passengers, including private-sector employees, businesspeople, and others, mentioned that they faced minimal difficulties in their return journey. Most of them did not have to deal with excessive fare hikes or major travel disruptions.

Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival for Muslims in the country, was celebrated on Monday, March 31. The official Eid holidays were from March 30 to April 1.
