BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan said on Tuesday that the people will not allow any conspiracy regarding the upcoming election.

He made the remark at a discussion titled “Plan to Rebuild the Country” organised by BNP at the Krishibid Institution auditorium in Farmgate, Dhaka.

Nazrul Islam said, “Today, a survey report was published. The question was, which party will win the most seats in this election? A total of 66% of respondents said BNP, while 26% said Jamaat-e-Islami. That’s a difference of 44%. And the rest are much lower. Even some notable parties are not even at one percent—less than that.”

“Out of frustration or hopelessness, someone may resort to conspiracy. But the people who have already made up their minds will not let any conspiracy succeed… this must be remembered.”

He said, “The fall of fascism and the achievement of a single-point demand—restoring democracy through a free and fair national election under a non-partisan neutral government… we have achieved that. Fascism has fallen. The interim government exists to fulfill the remaining part.”
