Petrol bomb thrown at Adviser Farida’s institute

A petrol bomb was thrown at the ‘Probhortona’ institute, headed by Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Adviser Farida Akhtar and renowned thinker Farhad Mazhar, in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident on Friday night.

A petrol bomb was thrown at the ‘Probhortona’ institute, located on Sir Syed Road in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, on Friday night. The incident occurred around 9:00 PM but resulted in no injuries or fatalities.

Upon receiving the news, law enforcement agencies immediately visited the site and collected evidence. Police and army personnel recovered a petrol bomb bottle from the scene. CCTV footage from the area has also been collected for further investigation.

Inspector (Investigation) Hafizur Rahman of Mohammadpur Police Station informed that the exact perpetrators of the attack and the motive behind the incident remain unclear. The bomb, which was thrown onto a tin roof, did not catch fire completely. The bottle was later seized.

Liberty News’ crime correspondent states that authorities are currently analyzing the CCTV footage in an effort to identify those responsible for the attack.
