Demanding cancellation of the verdict on craft instructors’ promotion, students from technical institutes staged a sit-in in front of the High Court’s main gate on Sunday morning.
At around 10:30 AM, students from various polytechnic institutes gathered at the High Court in Dhaka to protest a court verdict regarding the promotion of craft instructors.
One of the demonstrators, Habib, said, “The hearing is scheduled for today. We will continue our sit-in until it concludes.”
On Saturday, the protesting students held a press conference announcing countrywide demonstrations in all polytechnic institutes for Sunday. As part of the program, students from Dhaka-based institutes assembled at the High Court while others held protests and human chains in front of their respective campuses across the country.
