After multiple delays and bounced checks, Rajshahi’s franchise owner, Shafiqul Rahman, has finally assured that all outstanding player payments from the 11th BPL season will be cleared in three installments by February 10. The ongoing payment issues surrounding the Rajshahi franchise in the 11th BPL season have been a major point of controversy, with players facing repeated delays in receiving their dues. Despite previous assurances, several checks issued by the franchise had bounced, leading to frustration among the cricket community.
In response, Shafiqul Rahman, the owner of the Rajshahi franchise, has committed to settling the outstanding payments in three installments. According to his promise, the first two installments, which will cover 50% of the total dues, will be paid on February 3 and 7. The remaining 25% will be cleared by February 10.
Liberty News’ sports correspondent states Shafiqul Rahman has also assured that not only the players but all members associated with the team will receive their respective payments. He further stated that if these commitments are not met, he will be open to any legal actions taken against him. This promise has been confirmed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
