The International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Wednesday formally framed charges against four individuals, including two former Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) officers, in a crimes against humanity case related to the killing of 28 people in Rampura during the student-led protests on 18 and 19 July last year.

The two former BGB officers—Lt Col Mohammad Redowanul Islam and Maj Rafat Bin Alam Moon, both originally from the army—were produced before the tribunal.

The three-member bench, headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Mozumder, framed the charges after hearing the case.
