The Champions Trophy semifinals will have a reserve day in case of interruptions, ensuring that rain doesn’t effect the crucial matches.

The group stage of the Champions Trophy has concluded, and the four semifinalists have been confirmed. India, having remained unbeaten in the group stage, topped Group A, while New Zealand secured the second spot. In Group B, South Africa finished first and Australia took second.

India will face Australia in the first semifinal on March 4 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, while South Africa will take on New Zealand in the second semifinal on March 5 in Lahore.

Liberty News’ sports correspondent states that given the disruption caused by rain in several matches during the tournament, including two washed-out games in Pakistan, the organizers have introduced a reserve day for the semifinals. If the first semifinal cannot be played on March 4 due to weather, it will be rescheduled for the following day. A reserve day has also been allotted for the second semifinal and the final match on March 9, ensuring the tournament progresses smoothly despite weather conditions.
