A BNP delegation, led by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, visited the site of a jet crash in Uttara on Monday.
BNP Joint General Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, BNP’s Dhaka North City Unit Convener Aminul Haque, Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam, and others were present in the delegation.
A training aircraft of the Air Force crashed into a school building in Uttara area of Dhaka on Monday noon, claiming at least 19 lives and injuring more than 160 people, most of them students.
Many died on the spot, some on the way to different hospitals, and others succumbed to their injuries later, according to the control room source.
The Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft crashed minutes after it took off at 1:06pm, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
