BNP Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has vowed to criticize the interim government but also emphasized that they will not allow it to fail, speaking at the launch of Droh-er Graffiti book in Dhaka.
While addressing the publication event at the National Press Club on Saturday, Rizvi stated, “We will criticize the government, but we will not let it fail. There is no longer fear of enforced disappearances or crossfire when speaking out.”
He also expressed frustration with Indian media’s behavior, accusing them of undermining the democratic environment in Bangladesh and supporting chaos. Rizvi urged vigilance, stressing the need to avoid any potential instability that could lead to revolution.
On the importance of cultural activists in movements, Rizvi praised those behind the graffiti campaign, calling their efforts “extraordinary.” He warned against letting any disorder give an opportunity for those looking to exploit it.
Liberty News’ political correspondent states that, he condemned threats of violence from former mayor of Gazipur, accusing them of receiving support from neighboring countries and violating Bangladesh’s sovereignty.
