Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz has invited 1,300 Muslims from 100 countries to perform Hajj this year as honored guests, with a significant portion of the invitees coming from families of Palestinian martyrs, the injured, and detainees.
Under the directive of King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia will host 1,300 pilgrims from around the world in its annual Hajj Guest Program. The initiative, supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to serving Muslims globally.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, 1,000 of the invited pilgrims will be selected from Palestinian families who have lost loved ones, suffered injuries, or faced imprisonment in the ongoing conflict.
In a statement, Islamic Affairs Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh emphasized the Kingdom’s enduring support for Palestinians and reaffirmed that this year’s Hajj sponsorship continues the tradition of acknowledging their sacrifices.
Palestinian Minister of Religious Affairs Hatim Al-Bakri welcomed the move, expressing gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support. He noted that such gestures provide emotional strength to affected families and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s firm stance in support of Palestinian rights.
