The historic Sholakia Eidgah in Kishoreganj once again witnessed a massive congregation for the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, surpassing previous records in sheer scale.
Devotees from different districts began arriving at Sholakia a day before Eid, eager to take part in the renowned congregation. On Eid morning, a steady stream of worshippers from various upazilas and nearby districts flooded the Eidgah grounds.

Security personnel were stationed at various points, conducting thorough body and bag checks. Along the way, vendors sold makeshift plastic prayer mats for Tk 10-20 to accommodate the influx of worshippers.
The Eid prayers commenced at 10 AM, but long before that, the ground was packed to capacity. The congregation was led by the esteemed Mufti Abul Khair Mohammad Saifullah, Khatib of Boro Bazar Jame Masjid.
Following longstanding tradition, the prayer began with gunfire signals. Three shots were fired 15 minutes before the prayer, two shots 10 minutes before, and a final shot five minutes before commencement. Kishoreganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury fired the first round, continuing a unique tradition that is believed to be exclusive to Sholakia Eidgah.
In celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, the town was adorned with festive gates and flags, enhancing the joyous atmosphere.
