The home ministry has reassigned seven superintendent of police (SP)-ranked officers to new postings, effective immediately, according to a circular issued on Sunday by the Public Security Division, signed by Deputy Secretary Mahbubur Rahman.
CID Special SP SM Rafiqul Islam has been transferred to PBI as SP, and CID Special SP AKM Emran Bhuiyan has been posted to the Industrial Police. Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Sazib Khan has been moved to CID, while Armed Police Battalion (APBn) SP Sudipto Roy has been transferred to SMP.
Special Branch (SB) SP Samrat Mohammad Abu Sufian has been reassigned to Police Headquarters as Assistant Inspector General (AIG). Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) DC Mohammad Badrul Alam Molla has been transferred to CID as SP, and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) DC Mohammad Rahat Gowha has been similarly reassigned.
