The Shahjahanpur Upazila branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir organized a reception program to honor students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC, Dakhil, and equivalent examinations.
On Thursday (21 August), a total of 250 meritorious students from various educational institutions were felicitated at the Shahjahanpur Upazila Parishad auditorium.
The event was attended by Islami Chhatra Shibir Central Sports Secretary Harunur Rashid Rafi as the chief guest, while Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate for Bogra-3 constituency, Nur Mohammad Abu Taher, was present as the chief discussant.
The program was presided over by Jubaer Ahmed, President of Islami Chhatra Shibir Bogra District (East) branch, and conducted by Abu Sayem, President of Shahjahanpur Town branch.
Chief guest Harunur Rashid Rafi, Central Sports Secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir, said: “Meritorious students are the future leaders of tomorrow. Everyone must work sincerely to develop them into honest, skilled, and ideal citizens.”
Chief discussant Nur Mohammad Abu Taher said: “Today’s meritorious students will lead the nation in the future. Through moral education and character building, they can bring about positive changes in society.”
In his speech, Jubaer Ahmed, President of Islami Chhatra Shibir Bogra District (East) branch, said: “Islami Chhatra Shibir has always stood by meritorious and ideal students. By combining knowledge and morality, we aim to build an enlightened Bangladesh.”
Special guest Md. Golam Rabbani, Central Vice-President of Bangladesh Workers Federation, said: “The young generation must be encouraged in intellectual and creative pursuits. This reception will inspire students to progress further.”
Other speakers included Shahriar Hasan Biplob (Secretary, Bogra District East branch), Tawfiq-ul-Islam Taki, Talibul Habib, Rakibul Islam Robin, Lutfur Rahman, Maulana Shahidul Islam (Secretary, Shahjahanpur Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami), Jubaer Ahmed (President, Shahjahanpur South branch), Shakirul Islam (President, East branch), and Shoaib Ahmed (President, West branch).
The honored students expressed their feelings, saying: “This initiative by Islami Chhatra Shibir is truly commendable. We are very delighted to have taken part in such a program.”
