BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu has reaffirmed his trust in the interim government led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, calling for a roadmap for the upcoming national elections.

Speaking at a citizens’ gathering organized by the Ziaur Rahman Welfare Council on Saturday, Dudu stated that a group was deliberately pushing the country towards chaos and crisis. He criticized the government for failing to meet public expectations of restoring democracy and providing an election roadmap.

He added, “Under the fascist rule of Sheikh Hasina, extrajudicial killings continue, and such actions would not be possible under an interim government.” Dudu called for the government and law enforcement to improve their responsiveness to prevent further instability.

Liberty News’ political correspondent states that he urged the government to announce a clear roadmap for elections and set a date, warning that if the government fails, the BNP will know how to secure people’s rights through struggle.
