In a contempt of court case, the International Crimes Tribunal has sentenced ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to six months of imprisonment.
The three-member tribunal, led by Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Mojumder, delivered the verdict on Wednesday.
The other two members of the tribunal are Justice Md. Shafiul Alam Mahmud and Judge Md. Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.
In the same case, another accused, Shakil Akand Bulbul alias Md. Shakil Alam from Gobindaganj in Gaibandha, has been sentenced to two months of simple imprisonment by the tribunal.
Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tazul Islam confirmed this information to journalists.
