The Bangladesh Film Certification Board has granted clearance to five additional films slated for Eid-ul-Azha release, bringing the total to six, all set to hit cinemas during one of the country’s busiest festive seasons.

Five more films—Taandob, Insaaf, Togor, Utshob, and Esha Murder—received uncut ‘U’ certificates from the Bangladesh Film Certification Board on Wednesday, confirming their nationwide theatrical release during Eid-ul-Azha. These join NeelChokro, which was approved earlier in February, completing the holiday lineup.

This clearance comes as a major boost for Bangladesh’s film industry, which traditionally sees a surge in cinema attendance during Eid. All six films have been approved as suitable for viewers of all ages.

Among them, Insaaf, directed by Sanjoy Somadder, holds the longest runtime at 2 hours 29 minutes and 26 seconds. On the shorter end, Utshob, helmed by Tanim Noor, runs for 1 hour 52 minutes and 39 seconds.

The highly anticipated Taandob, directed by Raihan Rafi and starring Shakib Khan, Sabila Nur, and Jaya Ahsan, has a runtime of 2 hours 9 minutes and 52 seconds.

The lineup also features NeelChokro (1 hour 53 minutes 32 seconds), starring Arifin Shuvoo and Mandira Chakraborty; Togor (2 hours 23 minutes 46 seconds), featuring Ador Azad and Puja Cherry; and Esha Murder (2 hours 26 minutes 25 seconds), starring Azmeri Badhon and Puja Cruz.

With such a diverse mix of genres and star-studded casts, cinema halls are expected to draw large crowds as filmgoers gear up for an exciting Eid entertainment season.
