Six new political parties set to get EC registration

The Election Commission (EC) is set to grant final registration to six new political parties, including the National Citizen Party (NCP). Once approved by the commission, a public notification will be issued confirming their official registration.

According to EC sources, after field-level verification of 22 applicant parties, six have been recommended for final registration. These include the National Citizen Party (NCP), Bangladesh Aam Janata Party, Bangladesh Nezame Islam Party, and Bangladesh National League, among others.

The relevant branch finalized the paperwork last Sunday, and the file was scheduled to be placed before the commission for approval on Monday (September 22). The commission retains the authority to make additions or exclusions before issuing the final notification.
