In a remarkable feat of dedication and memory, six-year-old Abdur Rahman has memorized the entire Quran in just 91 days, becoming a Hafiz at an incredibly young age. His extraordinary achievement has not only left his family and teachers in awe but has also inspired many across the nation.
At just six years old, Abdur Rahman has done something many can only dream of – he has become a Hafiz of the Quran in just three months. This extraordinary accomplishment has stunned his teachers and family, as it usually takes years for students to memorize the entire Quran. Abdur Rahman’s journey to becoming a Hafiz began in December 2023 when he enrolled at Al-Intifada Institute, a renowned English version school and madrassa located in the 300 Feet area of Dhaka, known for nurturing young talents in both academics and spiritual learning.
Abdur Rahman, who hails from a small village called Jounpuri in Chandina, Comilla, is the son of expatriates Farad Hossain and Tahmina. His parents, filled with pride, are overjoyed at their son’s exceptional talent. “He’s always been a bright child, but what he has accomplished is truly divine,” said his mother, with tears of joy.
The story of his remarkable achievement began in January 2024 when Abdur Rahman started his Quran memorization journey at the institute. Initially, he began by reading the Quran and then progressed rapidly to memorizing it. Within just 91 days, the little boy, whose heart is pure and spirit unshaken, had completely memorized the entire Quran. His journey wasn’t easy, but his determination, discipline, and unwavering belief in his teachers’ guidance made it possible. Despite his young age, his mind absorbed the divine words of Allah with ease and sincerity.
His remarkable feat has not only stunned his family but also left his teachers at the institute in awe. “We’ve never seen anything like this before. To have a six-year-old memorize the entire Quran in just 91 days is something extraordinary. His perseverance and the grace of Allah have brought him to this achievement,” said Maulana Ashraful Islam, Principal of Al-Intifada Institute.
But that’s not all. Abdur Rahman also has a natural aptitude for languages, and his proficiency in English is also noteworthy. His ability to switch between languages fluently shows that his learning potential is limitless. His teachers call his success “miraculous,” considering his young age and the level of focus he demonstrated. “Abdur Rahman’s dedication is a testament to his inner strength. He studied continuously without taking a day off, except for the Eid holidays and regular school breaks,” added Maulana Ashraful Islam.
Abdur Rahman, who has become an inspiration to others, humbly attributes his success to his teachers’ constant support and his own dedication. “Alhamdulillah, with the help of my teachers and Allah’s blessings, I completed my memorization in 91 days. I want to grow up to be an Islamic scholar and serve Allah,” he said, his eyes shining with hope and ambition.
His story is a beacon of light for children everywhere, showing that with dedication, faith, and perseverance, even the most challenging tasks can be accomplished. Abdur Rahman’s parents are incredibly proud of their son and are hopeful that his journey will inspire other children to pursue both religious and academic excellence.
“I hope that one day, my son will become a great Islamic scholar who serves Islam around the world,” said his father, with a sense of pride in his voice.
Abdur Rahman’s achievement is not just a personal victory; it is a source of immense pride for the entire Muslim community in Bangladesh. It symbolizes hope, faith, and the power of determination.
