Former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal has been diagnosed with two blockages in his heart and is currently under medical care after undergoing angioplasty and stent placement.
On Monday (March 24), during a Dhaka Premier League match at BKSP, Tamim Iqbal experienced sudden chest pain. Initially rushed to Fazilatunnesa Hospital, he was later transferred to KPJ Hospital for advanced treatment, where tests revealed two blockages in his heart.
Under the care of doctors, Tamim underwent angioplasty, and a stent was inserted to address the blockages. Currently, he is in intensive care and is being closely monitored. While there has been no official statement from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) or his family, sources confirm that his condition is showing signs of improvement.
